The Tourist Card: who you are when you travel — and what it opens for you
Tourist is first of all an identity. The Tourist Card is a digital card that says one simple thing about its holder: this person is a traveler, a guest in your city. It is the same card everywhere — in a café in Lisbon, a guesthouse in Bali or a museum in Vienna — and it is recognized by local businesses in 195+ countries.
Discounts, perks and privileges come second, as the way partners welcome that guest. Restaurants, cafes, hotels, tour operators, museums, shops and services publish on Tourist what they offer to cardholders, and the member simply shows the card. There is no booking through us and no voucher to buy: the business applies its offer directly.
Tourist launched in 2025 with one idea: give small local businesses the visibility that large chains and booking platforms already have. Instead of every café, guesthouse or guide running its own promotions in its own corner of the internet, Tourist puts all of them on one shared platform, under one concept that any traveler understands — a single Tourist Card that local places recognize and reward.
It does not matter whether the business serves international visitors or its own neighbors. A discount for Tourist members works the same way for a traveler from another continent and for a local who lives two streets away.
Participation is completely free for partners. There is no listing fee, no subscription, no commission on sales and no payment processing through Tourist. A business creates its page, sets the discount or promotion it is comfortable with, and applies it at the counter when a member shows the Tourist Card. In its first nine months the project attracted more than 55.000 local businesses from all over the world. Today the catalogue counts 55.229+ partners and 66.275+ offers in 195+ countries, and it grows every day — and so do the savings for our members.
